Moulding Operator

Do you enjoy practical work? Have an eye for detail? Like to work within a team?


As a member of our rubber moulding team you will be joining one of our shift teams in a busy moulding environment, manufacturing vulcanised rubber products using hydraulic presses ranging from 20 tonnes to 500 tonnes using compression, transfer and injection moulding techniques. You will troubleshoot issues as they arise to ensure optimum process efficiency while maintaining the high levels of quality our customers require.

Primary duties:

  • Machine setting and operation
  • Material preparation
  • Problem identification and resolution
  • Production data recording


  • Light industrial machinery operation
  • Computer literacy
  • Communication skills


There are several roles available and we will provide training to successful applicants who do not already have the necessary knowledge. However, the work can be hot, repetitive and requires manual handling to HSE requirements, therefore experience within a similar environment would be beneficial.

We would also welcome applications from people with specific moulding experience and will consider those candidates in light of their experience and knowledge.

Shifts:             46 hrs every 8 days (avg. 40.25 hrs per week): 4 x 11.5hr days followed by 4 days rest

Salary: £17,225 – £20,113 per annum (£8.23 – £9.61 per hour) subject to experience

Sales Administrator

Based in Southampton, we are a rubber engineering firm that has been in business for over 145 years servicing customers across a range of industries, selling direct to customers as well as through our e-commerce brand,

In a supporting role to a busy office, you will a key asset to our business.  The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a good telephone manner and demonstrate a high level of IT literacy.

Primary duties:

  • Answering calls and dealing with basic enquiries
  • Liaising with customers regarding order enquiries and amendments
  • Producing quotations
  • Processing orders
  • General data processing
  • Administering e-commerce orders and enquiries
  • Administration duties including filing, scanning, etc.
  • Taking minutes and distributing
  • Taking card payments over the phone
  • Supporting the sales team and management with ad hoc requests


  • Ability to communicate at all levels, internally and with customers
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Computer literacy; Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with an ERP system would be an advantage

Salary: £15,600 – £17,917 subject to experience (pro rata for part-time applicants)
