Chevron Packs

Chevron Sets of all types and materials, in all sizes.

The function of a chevron packing is to contain pressure on one side of a piston or shaft without leakage where linear or rotary motion is anticipated. The chevrons nest together and a hard header and base provide energisation when compressed together in a gland. The elements of the chevrons can be dissimilar materials in order to provide a wide range of chemical resistance. Consideration needs to be given to the pressures expected, and the friction losses acceptable.
