Electrical Safety Matting for the Palace

Electrical Safety Matting for the Palace

It was with pride that Martin’s were recently asked to provide some Electrical Safety Matting to the Palace, following a Health & Safety risk assessment that identified the benefits of enhanced protection against accidental electric shock provided by our Matting. As is so often the case, properly conducted risk assessments will identify high voltage switchboards as a possible risk, and the simple solution is to lay suitably sized sheets of electrical safety matting in front of any equipment where operators or maintenance staff might possibly be subject to an accidental shock,  with the associated risk of serious injury or death. Our history of supplying the Royal Family with industrial rubber products goes back many years, with Mr Brian Hooper designing special rubber feet for the Queen’s bed on the Royal Yacht Brittania, and Bert Campbell fabricating rubber hand grips for Prince Phillip’s fishing rods! Whilst our latest supply is somewhat more utilitarian, nonetheless it is a pleasure to continue to provide products for the Palace. Author: Claire Ford Date:10 Oct 2011
