Electrical safety matting is an important piece of safety equipment used to provide protection against high voltages. At Martin’s Rubber, we supply electrical safety matting for custom and industrial installations. We hold stocks of electrical rubber mats for sale globally to wholesalers, electricians and end users, offering a range of insulation protection options.
Why you might need electrical safety matting
All industries have a requirement for electrical safety matting where there is risk of shock. The following, in particular, are known for their use of electrical mats:
- Lift maintenance companies
- Construction sites
- Engineering contractors
- General maintenance departments in retail and leisure centres
Electrical rubber mat applications
Our electrical insulation mats are suitable for use where enhanced safety is required around electrical installations such as switchboards or other high voltage equipment. These may be areas where operators or specialist maintenance staff may risk accidental electric shock and where electrical matting will reduce the risk of serious injury or fatality.
Ordering from electrical insulation mat suppliers
With large stocks of rubber electrical safety matting available, we are able to supply either full rolls or can cut it to size, depending on the particular installation. Various grades of insulation resistance are available, with the 450 volt commercial grade offering good all-round protection, while the 650 volt option offers a higher level of protection.
Electrical mat specification
At Martin’s Rubber, we are also able to stock electrical mats to specifications such as BS EN 61111, which supersedes electrical safety matting in the BS921:1976 specification. All of our electrical insulation mats can be purchased directly from our online shop, Monomer. However, if you are based outside of the UK, please contact us directly for delivery costs, as these will not be available online.
