Rubber engineers who understand your marginal gains

We have well-established working relationships with the supply chains and teams within the motorsport industry.

We work best in partnership with designers and engineers to develop and test new concepts and products, ensuring that a competitive advantage is gained from reliable components.

Motorsport

We provide:

  • FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to test and run scenarios on designs of elastomeric products prior to manufacture
  • Material development, including lightweight, magnetic and electromagnetic shielding
  • Fast-track service to meet development deadlines and air freight times
  • Scheduling software to enable us to meet build schedules and spares demands
  • Bonding of rubbers to engineering plastics, metals and composites to provide the most effective material solutions with low friction surfaces
  • In-house tooling for increased control over production schedules and development projects
  • Variety of manufacture methods to enable prototyping and development work prior to full production

Gain a competitive edge

The accuracy, quality and fine tolerances demanded by the motorsport industry ensure that we have experts in place to react and innovate along with the vehicles and technologies that we’re working with.

Common requirements of the motorsport sector include rubber to PTFE (for low-friction), rubber to metal, anti-vibration products, vehicle seals and gaskets, along with attributes such as tyre rubber exclusion, dust exclusion and reduced weight.

High-specification materials such as Viton®, Aflas®, Kevlar®, fluorosilicone and perfluoro-elastomers are commonly used alongside more standard components.

One of our key areas of expertise is in working with our customers to establish the best specification to ensure performance; materials can be developed to meet your needs. High temperature, high tear strength and lightweight materials have been, and continue to be, developed.

We supply into the motorsport sector at all levels of supply chain, including companies specifically dedicated to research and development, suppliers of engines, gearboxes, chassis, electronic components, hosing, composites, suspensions, shock absorbers and springs.

Formula 1, WRC, BTCC, WTCC, LMP1, MotoGP, SBK and Motocross are among the series that we support. We offer a mobile roadshow/training session for entry-level designers into the industry to empower them to make decisions best suited to the application when working with rubber materials.

FEA for CV Boots

Products like CV boots are critical to the performance of vehicles, and are a prime candidate for non-linear FEA. If you want to find out the types of analysis used, which areas it will help to improve and when to undertake FEA on CV boots, download our pdf here.

Case studies

Because every product we manufacture is unique, it can be difficult to find a case study that resonates with your business, but we’ve created some below which may at least sound familiar in the type of requirement or the type of business.
